Day 6: Love of Learning

Today, we headed back into the schools, and the team is mixing it up with a visit to a tutoring program. We got to visit with the kids and join in their learning (we learned red (rojo), blue (azul), yellow (amarillo), and green (verde), among others). The teachers were wonderful and kind and showed a deep love for all of God’s people. We had the opportunity to give each student a backpack with supplies and got to provide additional food and breakfast for the students and teachers. The children were excited for a chance to take part in bracelet making, parachute games and balloon games!

Unfortunately, two of our team members are leaving in the morning, so we finished their last afternoon with a competitive soccer game and an English class at the high school. We continue to learn from the children’s love and their resilience and are excited to continue to build relationships with them.
