April 2025 - Day 1: We Made It!

After 25 hours of flights and waiting in airports, we arrived in the Dominican Republic! Our first stop was a walk through the barrio with a tour of the primary school and water purification facility. We were all fascinated by the osmosis machine that provides clean drinking water to the community. While we were there, multiple people came to get water, and we were reminded of the incredible impact that clean and affordable water has on the community!

In the evening, we had the opportunity to connect with some youth at the T.E.A.R.S center and took part in a friendly soccer game where we got to know the kids and started to build relationships.
