Sports camps are made possible through the partnership of sponsors in Calgary, Alberta (Boys & Girls Club, Vipers Baseball League, Varsity Bible Church) working with the TEARS School and El Camino Church. The sports camps reach out to children and youth living in the Maria Auxiliadora barrio, who are suffering from the complex consequences of poverty.
Sports camps enable the local school and church to provide holistic care and to train children in valuable physical skills .Teams from Canada and Maria Auxiliadora , have shared in the process- using their various skills to teach baseball and volleyball. Leaders also act as role models for the children, demonstrating strong leadership and faith-based values.
